Prior to beginning private practice in 2012, Ms. McGuire worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Social Services, Department of Mental Health and the Continuum of Care. Since 2007, Ms. McGuire has focused her experience on working with adolescents and adults with sexually compulsive behaviors. She was awarded Clinician of the Year in 2009 while working for a local non-profit.

Ms. McGuire holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Political Science from Presbyterian College.

Ms. McGuire and Ms. Hull-Kimball are two of three practicing Certified Sex Addiction Therapists (CSAT) in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Sarah B. McGuire LISW-CP, CSAT

Sarah B. McGuire is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist who has experience providing individual, family and group therapy for adolescents and adults. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches such as solution-focused, task-centered, cognitive behavioral, as well as psycho-educational information, Ms. McGuire assists individuals, couples and families in addressing their specific needs to achieve their goals.

  • Assessing and treating adolescents dealing with sexually compulsive behaviors
  • Assessing and treating adults dealing with infidelity, sexually compulsive and/or sexually addictive behaviors
  • Coordinating and providing joint couples therapy with Ms. Hull-Kimball to provide a unique approach to those dealing with infidelity, sexually compulsive and/or sexually addictive behaviors
